Is your life upside down? Ask yourself: Where have I placed God in my life? Is He 1st…maybe 2nd? Have I even included Him?
Why do I even need God? My dear friend, He is your Creator. God wants us to spend eternity with Him. He gives us the choice to either choose Him or reject Him. We cannot get to heaven by our good works. God sent his son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sins. In doing this, He made us right with God if we repent and trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The next step is to choose God as a priority in your life.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:6
There are so many distractions in this life that vie for our attention. We can easily get caught up in the wrong things: drugs, alcohol, overeating, overspending or we can just get caught up in ourselves.
Life is not about us. When we make it about us, we will be very unhappy. Whether we realize it or not, there is a “God-shaped hole” in our hearts which only He can fill. When we choose to live for God, we can then pour life and God’s love into other people’s lives.
God can help us with our attitudes, help our relationships, help us to know how to handle money and even help us in areas such as what we choose to entertain ourselves with. Make God the first priority in your life and see what happens!
The choice is ours but keep in mind that worldly temptations can be very dangerous and these temptations are unfortunately empty. They lie to us and convince us they will fulfill our unhappiness…they won’t!
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
God sent his son, Jesus, to grant us eternal life if we choose His free gift and repent to live our life for Him and make Him a priority.
God can fill your cup to the brim with His love and goodness.
When I wasn’t putting God 1st, I felt like I was being tossed all over the place. Even now I often need to remind myself that He needs to be the first priority in every part of my life for it all to make sense.
God gifts us each day. We can make the intentional choice to enjoy and be thankful in each day, even when things are difficult.
God holds the power to strengthen and sustain all that is good in our lives. He is what can hold us together when we choose Him.
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17
When we include Him in our lives, it doesn’t mean we won’t face difficulty. Rather, the assurance is that we have Him to walk through it with us, knowing that He ultimately has us (from start to finish) in His hands.
When we accept and know Him as our Lord and Savior, we know our home is not here. He promises us an eternity with Him in heaven.
“Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, be revealed with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:2-4
I encourage you to start on a path to make God your top priority. It can change your eternity and help you in this journey here on earth. He will be there to guide your path and sustain you through difficulties. Trust in Him & let Him transform you.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
A life lived for God is the only life worth living. We are nothing without our Lord and Savior.
I am here to support and cheer you on!
Blessings,
Becky
